Fake investment platforms promising “guaranteed returns”

An ad or an unknown “advisor” writes: “Guaranteed high returns every month”, “AI does the trading, you earn”, “Limited spots — join today”. The platform has a polished website, a personal account and charts.

At first you invest a small amount and watch your “profit” grow fast in the dashboard. Sometimes they even let you withdraw a little the first time, so you believe it. Then a “personal manager” pushes you to invest more, take out a loan and bring in relatives.

When you try to withdraw, new conditions appear: pay a “tax”, a “fee”, or for “account verification”. In the end the site and the manager vanish. The numbers in the dashboard were never real.

How to protect yourself
  • No real investment offers guaranteed high returns. Anyone who guarantees them is lying.
  • Check the company's licence on the official website of the Central Bank (cbar.az).
  • “Pay first to withdraw your profit” is the final stage of the scam — don't pay.
  • Never take a loan or install remote-access software because an unknown “manager” asked you to.
  • Already sent money? Contact your bank and the police (102), and don't trust new “money recovery services”.
