Defending Against ScammersStep 1 of 6
If You've Been Scammed
What to do in the first minutes: block your card, change your passwords, keep the evidence and contact your bank, the police (102) and Savad. No shame — it can happen to anyone.
Murad realises he's been scammed
Murad was rushing to buy a ticket and typed his card details into a fake site. Five minutes later a text arrived: 640 AZN had been taken from his card. His hands shake and his first thought is: "How could I be so stupid? I won't tell anyone."
There's no need for shame
Scammers do this professionally and can fool anyone. Being deceived isn't shameful — deceiving is. Staying silent only helps the scammer: the faster you act, the better your chances.
