Scammers invent new stories every day, but their tricks stay the same. In this course you'll learn how they think and how calls "from the bank", texts with links, fake websites and classifieds traps work. You'll practise real-life situations in simulators and know exactly what to do if you've been scammed.

Course programme

  1. 1
    How Scammers Think
Scammers hack people, not technology. Learn to recognise their five main levers: urgency, authority, fear, greed and secrecy.
  2. Phone and SMS Scams
Calls from the "bank security service", texts with links and one-time code traps. Learn one rule for life: never share an SMS code or a PIN with anyone.
  3. Phishing: Fake Emails and Websites
Learn to read a web address correctly, not to trust the "https" padlock blindly, and to recognise fake courier services.
  4. Social Media and Online Marketplaces
Fake buyers who say "I've paid, follow the link to get your money", sellers with suspiciously low prices, hacked friends' accounts and bogus giveaways.
  5. If You've Been Scammed
What to do in the first minutes: block your card, change your passwords, keep the evidence and contact your bank, the police (102) and Savad. No shame — it can happen to anyone.
